This week, we waste no time celebrating the beginning of Carnival and its many traditions. We learn about its origins as we try two types of King Cakes from Croissant D’or. Aside from the food, we prepare with some Mardi Gras classics performed by Kermit Ruffins, James Rivers, Bob French and many others. We also interview the one and only, Al “Carnival Time” Johnson about the song that awarded him his middle name.

Happy Carnival!
