On this week’s program, to prepare for Mardi Gras 2012, we visit Blaine Kern aka Mr. Mardi Gras, sample King Cakes from two bakeries (Cake CafĂ© and Croissant D'Or), and catch up with the Phunny Phorty Phellows as they kick off Carnival season on January 6th, 2012.  The music on this week’s program includes the Hot 8 Brass Band, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Cyril Neville and many more.
