Submitting Events to the Livewire Music Calendar

Please email us (events@wwoz.org) about your gigs so we can add it to our online Music Calendar and help you promote your music!

We now ask that all clubs email music listings as plain text in the body of an email using the following guidelines:

Blue Nile - August:
17 @ 10pm - Khris Royal & Dark Matter
18 @ 9pm - Soul Rebels + Hot 8 Brass Band + Mario Abney Quartet
19 @ 9pm - Preservation Hall Jazz Band featuring Mos Def

We enter all listings in our online music calendar, but because of time limitations, we cannot read all listings on the air.

WWOZ includes only live music events in our live music calendars online and on the air. We do not include the types of events listed below, unless they prominently advertise a live musical act or include a cross-over live music/performance:

-Comedy acts
-Burlesque
-Non-musical plays
-DJs
-Community Events without music

Please check out our Community Events listings! Where you can post listings for non-music events being put on by community organizations!

A few things to keep in mind:

Submit events at least four days ahead to give us time to process them. Even earlier around festivals.
Before submitting a listing, please check music calendar to see if it's already there.
Remind us about weekly gigs each month.
