This week on Takin' It To The Streets, Action Jackson talks with Ronald W. Lewis, founder of the Original Big Nine Social and Pleasure Club, and director of the House of Dance & Feathers in the Lower 9th Ward.

Lewis shares his experiences masking in the 1980s and 1990s, what it was like founding a club in the 1990s and the importance of the Lower 9th Ward in the history of his club (including the remarkable changes they had to go through post-Katrina), being an exhibitor at Jazz Fest and educating the world about the cultural traditions in New Orleans, the natural evolution that turned skilled river workers into Black Indians of Mardi Gras, his favorite radio station, and much more!
