The response to the show, by people who wanted to dig deeper into Ms. Franklin's vast and treasure-filled catalog and ignore all the critics and pundits over the years who have dismissed her mid-70s through mid-80s recordings, has been overwhelming and so beautiful. Keep digging and keep listening. Though most of the songs I featured remain out-of-print (unless you seek out original LPs like I have), I’d like to think Aretha wanted someone to hear and enjoy them.
