Allen Toussaint performs "It's A New Orleans Thing", a cut from his 2013 album Songbook, on Sound Opinions, a public radio show from WBEZ in Chicago. At the end of an older video version of this song, he notes that it was "inspired by Professor Longhair", an influence that immediately apparent. A sample of the lyrics:
