Bill Taylor, Ms. Smalls, and DJ Swamp Boogie

Happy to announce our new Thursday show hosts! Though they're in new slots, you'll likely recognize their names and voices as all are longtime WWOZ volunteers and have hosted or subbed other shows for years.

Ms. Smalls will kick off our Thursday schedule on the Midnight Music show each Wednesday late night or Thursday early morning, depending on your vantage point. Her show will air from 12a-3a after The Kitchen Sink with AJ/AA. Ms. Smalls previously hosted the Tuesday edition of the New Orleans Music Show (11a-2p).

Bill Taylor is back on the WWOZ airwaves on the Thursday edition of the New Orleans Music Show (11a-2p). This is a hearty "Welcome back!" as Bill was an 'OZ show host for about 8 years prior to Hurricane Katrina.

DJ Swamp Boogie will host The Drivin' Wheel, a new Thursday afternoon blues show (2-4p) starting September 29. DJ Swamp Boogie has subbed on 'OZ since 2013 and been involved with a number of our remote broadcasts, including on the production side of our live JazzFest broadcast each year. He is a self-professed "obsessed crate digger, flea market junkie, and garage sale early bird; always searching for killer records." He has also DJed at Soul and R&B nights throughout New Orleans (including the Hip Drop, Soul Rotisserie, and Ponderosa Stomp), Montreal (Modtreal), and NYC.
