Jefferson Performing Arts Center
The mission of Jefferson Performing Arts is to nurture the performing arts and enrich the cultural and economic vitality of Jefferson Parish and the Gulf South through production and promotion of a diverse range of quality programs, arts training and education, and professional management of performing arts venues. JPA annually provides a wide range of theatrical performances that appeal to many interests and age groups. Most seasons include a selection of musical theater, drama, dance and music.

The fourth annual Chateau Flamenco Festival proudly presents SONIDOS GITANOS- Gypsy Sounds from Jerez to New Orleans. The masterwork curated by flamenco icon María Bermúdez presents the best flamenco artists direct from Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusía Spain, the birthplace of flamenco. “Gitano de verdad — flamenco in its purest: fiesta-style, uncomprimised, authentic.”
Direct from Jerez de la Frontera, María Bermúdez brings her powerhouse ensemble of dancers, singers, and musicians for an evening of raw, uncompromised Gypsy flamenco.
