This week we bring you the young lions of jazz, funk, groove and soul by way of Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews & Orleans Avenue, followed by funk powerhouse Big Sam’s Funky Nation. Both groups were recorded live by WWOZ at the 2009 Voodoo Music Experience.
This week’s Culinary Crossroads features the cochon de lait po-boy, a standout at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, consisting of slowly smoked pork and served with shredded cabbage and a specialsauce.
