"5K: Reflection, Resilience, Recovery – 5 Years After Katrina and the Levee Breach"

Authored by:

On this week’s program, we remember the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the federal levee failures by reviewing the ongoing recovery with music poetry and interviews.

Music about Katrina and New Orleans runs throughout the show.  Along the way, we visit the Southern Food and Beverage Museum to see a bar recovered from Lake Pontchartrain. Reverend Goat Carson tells us about the Mid Summer Mardi Gras Parade, and poet Chuck Perkins treats us to two of his poems.
