Groove Gala: Thursday, September 10Join us for our Groove Gala on September 10th! Tickets and sponsorships are available now and moving fast! An indoor (read: air conditioned) festival at Tableau Restaurant and Le Petit Theatre in the French Quarter, the Groove Gala features tons of delicious food and a music lineup that includes Irma Thomas, John Boutte, Big Sam's Funky Nation, Doreen Ketchens, River Eckert, New Orleans Jazz Vipers and DJ Swamp Boogie. Second Line Season Wraps June 28Two more weeks of second line season, then that's all until fall! The SL & KO University Second Line Parade happens on Father's Day (6/21) and Uptown Swingers Second Line Parade the following Sunday (6/28). Tipitina's "Free Friday" Summer Concert SeriesFree Fridays are back this summer at Tipitina's and run through September 4. Upcoming shows in June and July include the Stooges Brass Band, Brass-a-Holics, Honey Island Swamp Band, Johnny Sketch & The Dirty Notes, Soul Brass Band and more. The shows are open to everyone age 21+, with doors at 8pm and shows at 9pm. |
