Faubourg St. John Bastille Day Block Party! Date Saturday July 15, 2017 Time 4:30PM - 9:45PM Location 3100 block Ponce de Leon, between North Lopez and Esplanade Win A prize for the best costume as Marie Antoinette or Napoleon! What to do, what to do in July... It's a Block Party! Celebrate Bastille Day in the original neighborhood of the French Creole aristocracy. The 2017 Faubourg St. John Bastille Day celebration will be on Saturday, July 15, 2017, between 4:30 PM and 9:45 PM with food, music, children's activities, and an art market. For entertainment we have the High Ground Drifters and Harmonouche with Raphael Bas! Cynthia Scott will sing her powerful rendition of La Marseillaise, and Ukulele Jake will play the tunes we all know and love and dance to. We have a Costume Contest and a prize will be awarded for the best Napoleon or Marie Antoinette costume! Meet, Eat, Drink, and Dance in the street with us! Participants include: 1000 Figs, Cafe Degas, Fairgrounds Coffee House, Faubourg St. John Neighborhood Association, French American Chamber of Commerce Gulf Coast Chapter, Liuzza's by the Track, Lola's, Pal's Lounge, Santa Fe, Swirl Wines and Toast Restaurant.
