Celebrate Africa Day at the Arts Market of New Orleans

Saturday, March 30th 


10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Palmer Park, S. Carrollton and S. Claiborne Aves in Uptown. 

Free and open to the public 
 
The Arts Council is partnering for the second year with AfricaNola to present an exciting day of African music, culture and artistry. Along with the 100 plus visual artists showcasing their handmade artwork, we're featuring African storytelling at the Kid's Tent, a Second Line through Palmer Park, live music, drumming and more. Full schedule below!
 
Celebrate Africa Day at the Arts Market of New Orleans Performance Schedule:
 
11:30am African story time at the Kids Tent 

12:00pm Second Line thru the park led by Preservation Hall Jr. Jazz Band 

12:15 – 1:00pm Performances by Preservation Hall Jr. Jazz Band 

1:30 – 2:30pm Performance by Africa Brass

2:30pm African story time at the Kids Tent 

3:00 – 4:00 pm Drum circle and workshop with Luther Gray
