For over 30 years, Essence Fest has been a vibrant homecoming and cultural pilgrimage—born from a celebration of Essence Magazine’s 25th anniversary, and now honoring 55 years of a legacy that has shaped, uplifted, and empowered generations. Every Fourth of July weekend, we gather in New Orleans to celebrate Black excellence in all its forms —bringing together the most iconic and influential voices in Hip-Hop, R&B, soul, funk, and gospel for an unforgettable Evening Concert Series.
