The Soul Queen of New Orleans, mother of four, headlines another Mother's Day celebration at the Audubon Zoo this Sunday, May 8. This is a day full of music, food, fun and family for moms and families of all ages. Ashley Sno opens, playing from 11:30-12p followed by Sweet Crude from 12:30-2p. Irma Thomas and her band, the Professionals, perform from 2:30-4p.

Thomas has played this Mother's Day concert for years. It's always an emotion-filled performance as she sings directly to the moms in the audience. The concert is filled with personal anecdotes, old favorites, and new hits. Plenty of food, including kid-friendly fare, is available at the show.

Audubon Nature Institute members and all moms get in free; prices for other family members can be found at Audubon's website. This is a very popular concert, so Audubon urges everyone to get their tickets in advance online.
