1) Irish Fest is happening on Saturday at the Kingsley House (1600 Constance)! Headliners this year include Lost Bayou Ramblers, Stephen’s Green with Andy O’Driscoll & Martin Doyle, and Richie Safford & Dancers Lead Ceili with Everyone. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under.

2) Head over to the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center (1205 N. Rampart) on Saturday for a stellar concert as two of the best drummers in New Orleans history go head-to-head: Herlin Riley v. Johnny Vidacovich. If you can't be there in person, WWOZ will be broadcasting and video streaming live from the show. It all starts at 8p. And on Monday, September 17, we'll be back at the J&H Center for a live video stream from Stefon Harris & Blackout

3) The 2018-19 second line season is underway and Good Fellas will be stepping out this Sunday! Get the route sheet from WWOZ's Takin' It To The Streets.

4) Bounce artist Nicky Da B died in 2014. A tribute Bounce Night will be happening at Poor Boys Bar (1328 St. Bernard) on Saturday night with music from Jubilee, Sissy Nobby, Hasizzle, DJ Rusty Lazer, and DJ Q.

5) Head over to the end of the Bywater on Saturday as the Music Box Village reopens for the start of its new season. Opening Day celebrations start at 10a. New Orleans' most unique contemporary art attraction hosts art and music workshops, public exploration, and innovative music, now in its third year. Admission for Public Hours is by sliding-scale donation for Louisiana residents. WWOZ's Brice Nice will be DJing from 6-9p.
