1) Krewe of O.A.K. rolls out its "Midsummer Mardi Gras" on Saturday! It all kicks off from the Maple Leaf starting at 7p. 

2) The 2018-19 second line season kicks off this Sunday with a parade from The Valley of Silent Men! Get all the info, including route sheets, for this season each week at WWOZ's Takin' It To The Streets.

3) The Nora Navra Library, located at 1902 St. Bernard, is celebrating its reopening this Friday and Saturday with a Grand Opening & Community Celebration after remodeling and rebuilding. This is the last NOPL library to reopen after the Katrina floods. 

4) Tipitina's Foundation Free Fridays continues this week with sets from Naughty Professor and Brass Lightning. Show kicks off at 10p. 

5) On Friday, the "New Orleans Social Aid & Pleasure Club Forum: Celebrating and Continuing the Culture" will be held at Dillard. The forum explores the relationship between material culture and communities, and will recognize clubs celebrating anniversaries.
