Louisiana Poet Laureate Mona Lisa Saloy will be featured in the 100,000 Poets for Change annual reading at the Women's Center for Healing and Transformation, 71667 Leveson St., in Abita Springs on Saturday, October 1, 3:00 until 5:00 pm. An open reading will accompany Dr. Saloy, welcoming poets of all genders and ethnicities. 100,000 Poets for Change is a world-wide network of poets speaking for equality, justice and environmental responsibility. Free admission, but a donation will be asked at the door to benefit the Center.
