The 13th Annual Play/Write Showcase Monday, May 16 & Tuesday, May 17 at 7 pm at UNO’s Robert E. Nims Theatre (2000 Lakeshore Dr.) FREE! Family-friendly! Monday, May 16 8 plays from the International School of Louisiana & St. Mary’s Academy performed by Intramural Theater KM Dance Project & Dancing Grounds Beabourg Theatre Tuesday, May 17 8 plays from Young Audiences Charter School Kate Middleton & Lawrence D. Crocker campuses performed by Goat in the Road Tulane Theatre Nari Tomasetti The Radical Buffoons Play/Write consists of yearlong playwriting and theatre classes. Over the course of the year, each student writes eight original scripts, and chooses one to expand into a full length play. 16 of these plays are chosen for the Showcase. All students will attend the Showcase event during a morning field trip, where they will receive a formatted and professionally bound copy of their script. The evening Showcase performances are open to the students’ families and the public.
