The B.A.R. Black Tie Literary Awards Gala will be held on the evening of December 4th, 2021 at the Algiers Auditorium in New Orleans, LA in honor of the legacy of Big Chief Donald Harrison, Sr. and his beloved wife, Mrs. Herreast J. Harrison. 

Being celebrated as a published author is going to the next level as Black Authors Rock, B. A. R., merges every aspect of art imaginable into a live experience! From second-lining to new book releases, you are going to get a taste of art through electrifying New Orleans entertainment! 

Colorful and sophisticated, just like the community of New Orleans, B.A.R. Founder, Dr. LaTracey and her innovative team were inspired to create the multicultural expansion of the Black Authors Rock brand. The B.A.R. Arts Collective is the upper echelon of the artist industry, inclusive of variations of the arts, entrepreneurship, and consultation.

In honor of the legacy of Big Chief Donald Harrison, Sr., and his beloved wife, Mrs. Herreast J. Harrison, founder of Guardians Institute, awards will be accepted by their daughter, Big Queen, Cherice Harrison-Nelson. Be here to participate in our live auction and meet and greet with young and seasoned authors while indulging in the tantalizing world of books for a great cause - to increase the literacy of underserved communities through books, workshops, and events.
