Workshop: Creating Your 2021 Donor Communications Calendar

Wednesday, January 27, 2021 - 10:30am
The most efficient and effective way to raise funds from donors is to increase your donor retention - in other words, to inspire as many people as possible who gave in 2020 to give again in 2021. And the good news is that we know what works: regular communication with donors during the time periods when you are NOT asking them to give. Saying thank you, sharing updates, and actively listening all make a huge difference. In fact, when someone makes a donation, a personal thank you from your organization within 48 hours followed by a meaningful update within 90 days significantly increases the chances that they will give again. As fundraisers, we sometimes struggle with making regular communication with donors a reality. This workshop makes it easier. Participants will have the chance to create their own personal 2021 donor communication calendars. You’ll also learn: · How to talk about the ongoing changes to your nonprofit’s daily work during COVID-19. · Why relying solely on email and social media communication can hurt your donor retention- and why snail mail and phone are so powerful. · The best times to be in touch with your supporters during 2021. · Ideas for engaging board members, volunteers, and staff who don’t normally fundraise. When: Wednesday, January 27th from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Attendees will receive an electronic Certificate of Participation after completing the workshop. In order to comply with local community health guidelines while continuing to help nonprofits thrive through fundraising, we are offering this live, virtual workshop online through Zoom. A link and instructions to join will be sent to you after you register. Registration: $20 per person. For more on workshops and other services from The Funding Seed, visit www.thefundingseed.com.
