A small time commitment with a BIG impact! Thousands of our neighbors may need help evacuating if a hurricane comes our way. Evacuteers are a part of New Orleans’ public evacuation plan, City-Assisted Evacuation (CAE), to help everyone get to safe shelter ahead of a storm. If a mandatory evacuation is called in New Orleans, Evacuteers serve to ensure that: - Families stay together, - Pets are evacuated with their people, and - Everyone gets out quickly and safely! Through this 1-hour training session, new volunteers will be introduced to the work we do, learn how CAE works, and the vital role that our volunteers play in ensuring that everyone who uses CAE is treated with respect and dignity. Following the training presentation, attendees will then have the option to sign up for Evacuteer service for the 2019 hurricane season! Bring a friend or neighbor to help us reach our goal of 500 trained volunteers this year! To register for this training on our website, please visit: www.evacuteer.org/events Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
