Living Dead is a solo exhibition by Rachel June. Ms June works in many different mediums; including plexiglass, vinyl, wood, acrylic paint, and film. Living Dead is an installation located uptown on Napoleon Avenue at the Children’s Resource Center, one of the Carnegie libraries which opened in 1908. This installation reflects time (past and present), the economy, and our culture within the architectural elements of New Orleans. In celebration of the tricentennial Ms. June communicates the importance in the preservation of our distinctive city. A public reception on Saturday, December 15th will feature live music, free refreshments, from noon till 3pm.
