Cyril Neville’s 70th Birthday Bash offers the rare opportunity to see and hear living legends of New Orleans’ homegrown music genres, R&B, Funk, Jazz, Mardi Gras Indian music, Brass Band traditional music and blended genres created by New Orleans’ top music originators. This once in a lifetime event features Cyril Neville, Irma Thomas, John Boutte, Davell Crawford, Seth Walker, Erica Falls, James Andrews, Glen David Andrews, The Neville Family, Sharmarr Allen, New Breed Brass Band, Claude Bryant & The AllStars, Caesar Brothers Funk Box, Big Chief Juan Pardo, and special guest appearances. More than just a live concert, this indigenous music event is designed to benefit New Orleans youth in the Adinkra NOLA program. “Adinkra NOLA (Admirable, Diligent, Intellectual, Noble, Knowledgeable, Responsible Achievers), is a unique educational experience for learners who need to move at their own pace. We have collaborated with over 60 families and 100 community organizations for field trips and partnerships, but also enhanced exposure to education, culture, and community. Our youth excel in academics and explore coding, graphic design, healthy eating, gardening, bike repair, volunteerism, and more.
