So the point of a open mic to me has been to have fun play music of all kinds with many other diffrent syle musicians from all backgrounds...Playing in a band is awesome dont get me wrong but its routined and can get quite boring.

What is everybody doing this New Year's Eve? I know Galactic is doing their annual thing at Tip's, but I also know that Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk is playing with Papa Grows Funk at the Howlin' Wolf. It supposedly has an open bar too. As of now I think I'm heading over there. It should be a pretty funky show.
