Live music broadcasts on Thursday:

• Juan-Carlos Formell with Johnny's Dream Club on Jazz from the Market

Juan-Carlos Formell, the "Troubador of the New Millenium," performed live in the WWOZ studio with his incredible band. They will be playing songs off of their new CD tonight and Friday night at their record release party at Snug Harbor. Their new CD, Johnny's Dream Club, was recorded in New Orleans in April, 2008.

Cuban jazz pianist Osmany Paredes with Juan-Carlos Formell.

WWOZ show hosts David Torkanowsky and Rob Weiss spin the best of blues and R&B on The Blues Ball with David Torkanowsky.

The Revivalists played a smoking set of blues-rock jams on Sherwood Collin's New Orleans Music Show this morning. Pictured are David Shaw on guitar and Mike Girardot on trumpet.
