"Ain't" Ain't in the Dictionary

Lyrics are the poetry of music.  You would think every carefully selected word would at least pass the grade school test of "ain't ain't a word."  You would be wrong.  It seems like "ain't" is almost as popular a lyric as "love."  Shocking news!  Song writers weren't paying attention in English class.  

Tonight a bucket-full of songs with "ain't' in the lyrics.  In fact, there are so many songs that we ain't playing any "ain't" song that's not done by a New Orleans musician.  Ain't it the Truth, Ain't it a Shame, Ain't No Sunshine, Ain't That Peculiar.  My spell checker's gonna have a work out.
