My thanks to trombonist, music producer, arranger and composer Delfeayo Marsalis and actor Kenneth Brown, Jr.for being my in studio guests. They talked about Mr. Marsalis' new CD "Sweet Thunder {Duke And Shak}, a sort of small group revision of Duke Ellington's "Sweet Thunder," a suite written to honor English playwright William Shakespeare. Mr. Brown engages in oration during the performance. Mr. Marsalis will begin a national tour in support of the CD this Thursday, January 20th at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans. During the show, Mr. Marsalis gave two listeners a pair of tickets to the performance.
