Playlist for March 06, 2010 from 10:00PM - 12:00AM

Current New Orleans Time: Fri, 7:49am

Playlist Date & Time: 3/6/2010 10:00PM - 12:00AM

Program: Awake and Willing with Peggy Lou

I've been focused elsewhere for the past couple/few years and so haven't really paid much attention to what's shakin up the local indie rock scene. Over the last 48 hours' crash course, I've been pleasantly surprised.  There's a buncha my neighbors' stuff in the show tonight, as well as some SXSW acts from last year to getcha ready for this one.

If you can, get to SXSW, but make sure to make it to Foburg Festival, New Orleans first bigtime indie music fest. And check out NOIR Collective for the local lowdown.  Good folks.

I'll see y'in the streets, pussycat.

Waving and grinning,

~mockingbird~
