Program: Jazz from the French Market with Jelly Roll Justice or Suzanne Corley

Great show!!  We focused on playing primarily New Orleans artists during the Pledge Drive --- our goal was 15 new and returning members.  

During the show, pianist and composer Jason Moran came in to talk about his music and his views on Jazz.  He and Herlin Riley put on unbelieveable shows this night at Snug Harbor after visiting "Jazz from the Market".

Jesse Boyd, Michael Pellera and Darian Douglas came by the performance studio to play for you before their show at Loyola University --- and just were dynamite.  They played two songs from Jesse's 2009 "True Stories" album: Uptown Blues and Azile.

How wonderfully generous musicians are!! --- in the midst of their many commitments, they take time out to help support WWOZ and New Orleans culture. 

We made our goal and then some.
