Program: New Orleans Music Show with Murf Reeves

Just got back from Albany, Ny.  Re-upped on some family love,(and a little heartbreak,)but refueled for a great Monday morning jam session. Thanks to all the guests for stopping by.  Michael Cerveris and his band Cerveris, performing tonight at Tipitina's, along with Happy Talk Band and Cattywhombus?. Michael is also in town for the screening of the new movie Cirque De Freak and are having showings at the Prytania tonight.  Jeff Castelaz, from the organization Pablove.org, stopped by, taking a break from his bike ride cross country to spend a moment in the Crescent City.  Jeff is spreading awareness about children's cancer.  Jeff's son, Pablo, died from a rare form of cancer "Bilateral Wilm's Tumor."  Jeff is also head of Dangerbird Records, home of the Silversun Pickups who will be performing at this years Voodoo Fest.  We also had Steve Rehage, Voodoo Guru and producer of the festival and Troy Andrews stop in and talk a bit about the uopcoming voodoo fest. Troy may possibly sit in with Lenny Kravitz, who is rumored to be dressing as Ace Frehley this Halloween,  keep that one sober eye open.  Thanks everyone for listening and visiting.
