HUH!
This week the Mambo Institute declared the magic word that makes a fair song great is a loudly grunted "Huh." I've been "huh"-ing in my sentences and it works just as good for spicing up everyday conversations. HUH! Yeah.
Tonight, 17 songs featuring HUH! in the title or the lyrics and I'm going to dance the mambo throughout the entire set of music including announcer breaks. After a week of HUH and practicing, I'm sure I can keep my head absolutely steady and inches from the mic while my lower body may will range ten feet in all directions as I announce. See if you can find me in the thirty-odd (and I do mean odd) mambo dance video links embedded in the below playlist. (These are really fun links. They've kept me up all night - it's 5:40am.)
We'll also give a salute to those confused cowboys who have come to town during Southern Decadence. As a native westerner, I spotted the cowboy boots and hats plus the black leather vests and chaps in the crowd. I'm guessing they drove their herd into the Fat City slaughterhouses then lost their newfound riches, at the casino as when I saw them, they were down to their thong underwear. HUH! Thankfully they sensibly kept their cowboy identity clothing but it's gonna be a long dusty trail back home.
Plenty of topical sets of music tonight including a set about personal cleanliness set that could be used as evidence for my future sanity hearing. Also sets about dogs, cows, narrative songs (The Cave Part I and II by Gary "Spider" Webb - "Oh Jimmy, Jimmy! Where are you Julie. Julie!!! Julie!!!") and the standard public radio announcer and music rant about: kill your TV before it kills your imagination.
