Program: Jazz from the Market with Jelly Roll Justice

This is my last daytime show for several months and thus I drew on many of the tunes that I fell in love with during the last year.  Most are new, some rekindled the passion I once felt for them, but all are fantastic jazz pieces.

A word of apology: before playing the Charlie Christian "Swing to Bop", I stated that he was with Dizzy Gillespie and Cannonball Adderley at Minton's Playhouse in May, 1941.

Dizzy Gillespie for sure was there, but what I meant to say was not Cannonball Adderly --- but Thelonious Monk played as well. I realized that I was stuck in gear when I got off the phone with a listener who questioned me on Adderley while I kept thinking Monk.  Very sorry.
