Program: Records from the Crypt with Billy Delle
The tribute to world class funk master Eddie Bo was held earlier today at the Rock 'n'Bowl. The accalaids bestowed were fitting for the Maharaja of New Orleans Rhythm & Blues. The event hosted by John Blanchard, brought out some of New Orleans finest musicians. Unfortunately, it seems, that lately we only get to see these artist at Jazz Fest & funerals. Besides Irma Thomas, Dr. John, Wolfman Wsahington, Joe Crown, Deacon John & many others , it was especially rewarding for me to see & visit once again with Dee Eaglin (Snooks' widow) & Carolyn (their daughter).
The event brought back many fond memories of Snooks, K-Doe & Bo during the stations membership drives as they shared their music & life experiences with all of us. We will always remember.
