Today's show featured-as you can tell from the playlist-trombones, in honor of the March 18th appearance of Slide Hampton and The World of Trombones at NOCCA Riverfront. The show is sponsored by the Contemporary Arts Center, the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation. Mr. Hampton is a Jazz Master of the National Endowment for the Arts. Mr. Hampton dropped by the studio for a live interview about himself and the upcoming show.
