Program: Jazz from the French Market with Vin Chary
On this Friday the Thirteenth radio program, WWOZ featured the WORLD DEBUT of the new Threadhead Records release by John Boutte' and Paul Sanchez, STEW CALLED NEW ORLEANS.
Paul kindly brought a copy of the CD up to the station as soon as he received it off the presses. The first song we played was the original tune "Call Me Superstitious".... New Orleans spirits were definitely in the air!

This is an excellent CD by a jazz vocalist and teacher, who is a part-time New Orleanian.

Beautifully done, whenever I play this song on the air it always brings in calls asking the identity of the vocalist. Cyndi can really SING!
