At the Hop

 

I'm leaving my casket early to subtitute for Black Mold as his Friday Fungus Fill-in.  Let's get you ready for Friday night with a record hop (you supply the fermented hops) with hours of music that doesn't quite fit in any category.  Is it blues or rhythm and blues?  Is it rock or billy or just Big Joe Turner?  You know that sound - we're distilling music down to the New Orleans sound.   

 

It has been an uplifting inauguration week as we exchange the burdens of old with the promise of hope and inspiration.  It feels like a return to this nation's original aesthetic so let's play music to match the mood.   Turn up the radio and treat your neighbors and yourself to an audio injection of joy - nothing but fun songs tonight.  (Before I return to my vampire shift of Saturday midnight to 3am Sunday Friday night's.)
