Playlist for January 08, 2009 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM

Current New Orleans Time: Fri, 4:55am

Playlist Date & Time: 1/8/2009 4:00PM - 7:00PM

Program: Jazz from the French Market with Jelly Roll Justice or Suzanne Corley

On this day in 1815, Andrew Jackson and a true cross section of our populace routed the British Army (and Germany mercenaries) in Chalmette at the Battle of New Orleans, thus keeping the Mississippi River for the United States.  I do not like war, but will play a few tunes at the end of the show about the "Battle".  Jelly Roll
