HORRORS!

I've been traveling the last few weeks so I missed out on some over-the-top themes courtesy of the beauty contestant from the state who's abbreviated postal initials and union admittance position (almost) spell out the main weapon currently used for destroying governments, "AK 47."  We start our Horrors! theme with a solid foundation of "Failin Palin" music before moving into everyone's favorite cultural cul de sac; music inspired by black and white monster movies.

Float Number One - "Destroyer of Governments - AK 47"

The first float on our audio Mardi Gras parade is inspired by the one-term Governor of Alaska.  Johnny Horton's "North To Alaska" is the obvious starting point but I immediately thought of Donna Fargo's "Happiest Girl in the Whole USA" when introduced to Sarah Palin's beauty queen past. The late Dody Goodman's music is almost impossible to work into a musical set and we all owe "drill, baby, drill" Sarah some thanks for providing the satirical foundation for Dody's song, Pneumatic Drill song.

Float Number 2 - "Famous Bomb Throwers Throughout History"

Our second float is the Bill Ayer's / Sacco and Vanzetti float, "Bomb Throwers Throughout History."  This float features riders wearing (and waiving) a bloody shirt.  Instead of throwing beads, the parade audience throws brick bats at the riders.  Arthur Hardy gives this float no points for originality.

Float Number 3 - "Free Spooky Movies"

The rest of our parade is a salute to the various Halloween parades with music of Halloween.  For the few non-drinkers in my audience, the music is your inspiration for making your Halloween costume.

But sharpened scissors are not recommended for my drunk drive-time audience. A couch and movie is their salvation so tonight I provide you with web links to corny monster movies to discourage you from doing anything mechanical.  So go to the links on the playlist and also read the reviews of these movies.  (My favorite review is on the last link at: Planet of the Prehistoric Women.  The review's content is almost as funny as the fact that someone spent so much time on this horrible movie.)

THE LINKS!  TRY THE LINKS FOR FIFTY FREE SCARY MOVIES (most are actually over-priced at free).

The song that matches the movie: Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women. Alright if you've made it this far then read the reviews on this movie. The longest review made me laugh even while I was watching the Saints get crushed by the Panthers. This movie originated as a Soviet-made movie that was re-cut a couple times to disguise its origin for American release. You can imagine how that improved the story...
