Playlist for October 16, 2008 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM

Current New Orleans Time: Fri, 2:20am

Playlist Date & Time: 10/16/2008 4:00PM - 7:00PM

Program: Jazz from the French Market with Jelly Roll Justice or Suzanne Corley

Women in Jazz was the theme of this evening's show, this being the week of the annual Ladyfest New Orleans.  Some of the music earlier in the show was pre-contemporary, but as the show progressed it became apparent how women in jazz grew upon this solid base of freedom of expression, and became voluptuous, musically speaking.
