Bobby Marchan
I Miss You
The Very Best of Bobby Marchan
Collectables
1999
another of New Orleans' famous drag queen MCs of early Rock'n'Roll Shows, Bobby could really SING! He's probably best known for his over-the-top "There's Something On Your Mind (Parts 1 and 2)", which he took to places never intimated at by composer "Big" Joe Turner. Bobby was also the best known voice in Huey "Piano" Smith's Clowns ("I've Got the Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie-Woogie Flu", "Don't You Just Know It" etc. I especially love "Rockin' Behind the Iron Curtain" (so MANY years prior to the Beatles' "Back in the U.S.S.R."). I hope the link I've posted to youtube works for you. It just has a still picture, but the song is rich indeed!
