I call Jim and Charles almost every week and request this song. They never play it for me so I am playing it for myself!!!! We Miss You Johnny!! And Mama Leah Too!!!!

Produced by Ann Savoy. Steve Riley and The Mamou Playboys backing band. Happy 59th Birthday Nick Lowe. Born March 24, 1949. Liner Notes from recording quoting Nick; "I Knew Cajun music because Johnny Allan had a top 10 hit with "Promised Land" in England, and the guys that play with me used to play with him. So we had the whole swamp-pop thing here, and I used to see the real cajun stuff, Eddie LeJiune and D.L. Menard, whenever they came over. I don't know how artistically marvelous my track is because my French is at best schoolboy French, but Ann sent me a version of George Jones' "Don't Stop the Music" sung in Cajun-French by the Balfa Brothers and it made sense. And I asked Steve Riley and the band to pick me up so I wouldn't sound so much like Gore Vidal singing "Tuti Fruti" and they were really good about it and it was great fun to do"
