Cindy Scott and Brian Seeger
Cindy Scott is an extraordinary vocalist who teaches the UNO Jazz Voices, the University of New Orleans' mixed-voice jazz vocal group. She has just released a recording, Let the Devil Take Tomorrow, produced by New Orleans jazz guitarist Brian Seeger.
Cindy and Brian will be performing live in the WWOZ studio to support us during our Spring 2010 Membership Drive on Missy Bowen's show. Tune in!
Jesse Boyd
Jesse Boyd is one of the busiest players with one of the most impressive resumes on the New Orleans music scene. His flawless technique, flowing lines and great sensitivity combine to deliver raw and dynamic live performances. He performs regularly with Charmaine Neville, Ingrid Lucia, Leah Chase, Bob French, Michael Pellera, Al Belletto, Ellis Marsalis, Topsy Chapman, and Larry Sieberth to name just a few. He also spent several years in Jeremy Davenport’s band.

Washboard Chaz & Friends
Tune into the New Orleans Music Show with Sherwood Collins on Thursday at noon to hear one of New Orleans' most beloved entertainers, Washboard Chaz, and his band of musical friends including violinist Neti Vann. It's just one of the many live broadcasts we've got on tap for our Spring 2010 Membership Drive.
New Orleans Moonshiners
Only in New Orleans could a band like the New Orleans Moonshiners exist – a group of seven dedicated, educated young musicians with one goal in mind: carrying on and building upon the tradition of New Orleans jazz. With a lineup of trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, banjo, upright bass, and drums, the Moonshiners play songs by Louis Armstrong, WC Handy, Sidney Bechet and Django Reinhardt, as well as exciting originals, drawing an enthusiastic following of swing dancers, music fans, and fellow musicians alike.
They will be performing live in the WWOZ studios to support us during our Spring 2010 Membership Drive.
