He played and recorded with Miles Davis and John McLaughlin, as well as with other stars from Herbie Mann and Herbie Hancock to Ornette Coleman and Yoko Ono, helping create the long-lasting fusion of Indian music and progressive jazz.

Grammy-nominated guitarist and Louisiana Wetlands activist Tab Benoit has become one of the premiere roots guitarists and songwriters of Louisiana culture. Tab performs 250 nights a year, paying his dues as a road troubadour at large festivals and in small towns across North America.
Growing up in Houma, LA, Tab developed a 70's rock 'n roll syle that naturally progressed into the Cajun rock 'n blues he now plays.
Tab will be coming into WWOZ's studios to perform live on the air during our Spring 2010 Membership Drive. Hosted by George Ingmire.
