WWOZ Live Event Broadcasts

Bridge Trio

Sat, Feb 13, 2016 8:00pm

The Bridge Trio at the Jazz & Heritage Center, Saturday, February 13. Two shows at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

WWOZ will live broadcast the 8 p.m. show. Hear it at 90.7 FM and wwoz.org/listen/player/

The Bridge Trio is a collaboration of three of New Orleans' hottest young jazz exports: pianist Conun Pappas, bassist Max Moran and drummer Joe Dyson. They first came together as a group at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA) under the direction of their mentor and former teacher, the legendary clarinetist and jazz educator Alvin Batiste. They performed with Batiste as the Jazztronauts while still in high school and played with him on his last gig, at the 2007 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell. Together and separately, they have gone on to great acclaim in the jazz world, working with Donald Harrison, Jr., Christian Scott and many others.

The concert will consist of two, separately-ticketed shows, starting at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Mark your calendar! Tickets will become available at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29. To reserve tickets, please use this link.
