Tabla master Badal Roy has been involved in the American jazz scene since he arrived in the late 1960s. He played and recorded with Miles Davis and John McLaughlin, as well as with other stars from Herbie Mann and Herbie Hancock to Ornette Coleman and Yoko Ono, helping create the long-lasting fusion of Indian music and progressive jazz.
