Bob French & Friends Celebrate Dave Bartholomew's B-Day

Bob French hosted an all-star jam live in WWOZ's performance studio on Tuesday, December 22 during Mr. French's Traditional Classic Jazz Show to celebrate the birthday of legendary New Orleans musician, composer, and arranger Dave Bartholomew. We hope you enjoyed the live broadcast as much as we did — and check out the slideshow above to see the musicians themselves digging it!

The band featured David Torkanowsky (piano), Bunchee Johnson (drums), and Charles Moore (bass). They played plenty of classic tunes, and Bob managed to get some great stories out of Mr. Bartholomew.
