WWOZ Live Event Broadcasts

Sammy Naquin lives to play music that makes people feel good, have fun and want to dance. And his music is just as hot as the gumbo he cooks up.  He will be performing live in the studio with his father, Richard Naquin, to support WWOZ during our 2009 Fall Membership Drive.  Hosted by Charles Laborde.

Fredy Omar, called the "Latin King of Frenchmen Street," is the leader of Fredy Omar Con Su Banda, one of New Orleans' most popular latin bands.  Fredy will be in the WWOZ studio live with his band to help us during the Fall Membership Drive. Hosted by Yolanda.

Eric Lindell will be perfoming with his full band for this live in-studio broadcast. Lindell has blossomed from regional artist to rising star with a burgeoning national fan base.  His two critically acclaimed releases have won him loads of AAA and Americana radio airplay, national television exposure, and a crowded tour schedule.  Hosted by Black Mold.

Michael Juan Nunez will be bringing his swamp-drenched, blues inspired, South Louisiana, rock-n-roll to the WWOZ studios.  He will be perfoming his great songs solo with his acoustic guitar. Hosted by the Problem Child.

Latin-funkster band Brownout will stop by for a live performance in the WWOZ studio Thursday at 5 p.m. during Jazz from the Market with host Judy Wood. Tune in online or on air and listen to these cats help us celebrate our Fall Membership Drive!

David Torkanowsky does it all - He will host his show while performing with Doug Belote and George French.  Tune in this afternoon for this excellent music!

Jon Cleary will be performing live in the WWOZ studio to help support our Fall 2009 Membership Drive.  Jon will be playing with musicians Matt Perrine and Doug Belote.  Show host: David Torkanowsky.
