Tabla master Badal Roy has been involved in the American jazz scene since he arrived in the late 1960s. He played and recorded with Miles Davis and John McLaughlin, as well as with other stars from Herbie Mann and Herbie Hancock to Ornette Coleman and Yoko Ono, helping create the long-lasting fusion of Indian music and progressive jazz.

Don't miss this live broadcast of Badal Roy's group from Snug Harbor. The band will include Kenny Wessell (guitar), James Singleton (bass) and Tim Green (saxophone).

French Quarter Festival Presented by Capital One (April 9-11, 2010) is almost here, and take it from ‘OZ, you don't want to miss this chance to sample the Crescent City's jazz, brass band, blues, funk, singer-songwriter, and Cajun/Zydeco scenes all in a single spring weekend and in the same location — for free!

It's the largest free music festival in the entire South, and this year is sure to break attendance records thanks in part to the Saints' amazing Superbowl win!
