The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation celebrates the rich traditions of music, food and community with the third annual Tremé Creole Gumbo Festival. The festival, which takes place Saturday, Dec. 11, and Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Jazz & Heritage Center, also includes fabulous holiday shopping at four fifth annual Jazz & Heritage Holiday Bazaar - with a slew of vendors offering wearable art, items for the home and other hand-made specialties. This is the only place to get additional Jazz Fest shirts outside of the Fairgrounds!
The musical performers showcase the traditional New Orleans jazz that emerged from the Treme neighborhood and its environs, plus some more contemporary styles.
The 'OZ Outreach Krewe will be out in the historic Tremé neighborhood for the Tremé Creole Gumbo Fest. So come out, have a cup of gumbo, listen to some great jazz, become a new or renewing member or enter our raffle for a chance to win a limited edition 'OZ Flag. Brass Passes will also be available for purchase and we'll have broadcast schedules, bumper stickers, and volunteer applications on hand. Swamp Shop will be offering an array of holiday specials on some of your favorite 'OZ gear as well. See you there!
